Research Interests

In the recent decades, both virtual and augmented reality technologies have seen an immense progress with respect to their usability, performance and design. My research primarily focuses on the application of these new technologies to transfer information from machines to humans. Specifically, I am investigating whether these technologies can facilitate users understanding of visualized data in different scenarios. I am a researcher at the Mobiliar Lab for Analytics. Previously, I was working on two projects of the lab. The first project investigated the detection and reduction of stress in offices. To that end, I contributed by investigating the combination of virtual reality and biofeedback to implement stress management interventions. The second project investigated the interpretability of machine learning models. Here, I investigated the use of collaboration in mxied reality to help users better understand and interpret machine-learning models.
